Congratulations to Paul Nicklen on his International Photography Hall of Fame Induction!
WWSG Exclusive speaker, photographer, filmmaker, marine biologist and an outspoken advocate for wildlife conservation, Paul Nicklen, was inducted into the International Photography Hall of Fame (IPHF) November 1st, 2019.
The youngest inductee ever, Paul was honored among notable photographers and photography industry visionaries such as Tony Vaccaro, Steve McCurry, Bruce Davidson, Olivia Parker, Elliott Erwitt, Ralph Gibson, and Mary Ellen Mark.
For over twenty years, Paul’s career has focused on the polar regions, his evocative nature photography displaying a deep reverence and sensitivity for the wildlife and environment of the most isolated, endangered places in the world. Mr Nicklen’s images have elicited conversation, created shifts in thinking, and shown parts of this planet that most will never see.
Paul is also co-founder of the conservation society SeaLegacy with his partner, Cristina Mittermeier, and has published several books including Seasons of the Arctic; Bear: Spirit of the Wild; Polar Obsession; Born to Ice and his most recent eBook, Photographing Wild. Paul’s 200-page eBook features 16 lessons for making compelling photographs, including some of his favorite images and stories about what he does when he’s in the field.
Through his glorious photos and storytelling, Paul leaves audience awestruck with sensitive and evocative imagery that he relates through his own personal work experiences and to his audience’s everyday lives. His captivating speeches are both motivating and passionate and will leave audiences with a new outlook on their everyday lives and professions.
